The Yellow Emperor asked Qi Bo: I wish to hear of the transport points of the five zang that come out on the back. Qi Bo said: The great transport of the chest is at the tip of the weaving-bone. The lung transport is in the space of the third vertebra; the heart transport in the space of the fifth; the diaphragm transport in the space of the seventh; the liver transport in the space of the ninth; the spleen transport in the space of the eleventh; the kidney transport in the space of the fourteenth. All flank the spine, about three cun apart. If you wish to find them and test them, press the place: an answering in the center, and the pain eases — that is the transport. Moxa may be used; needling may not. When qi is full, drain it; when empty, replenish it. To replenish with fire: do not blow the fire; wait for it to die of itself. To drain with fire: blow the fire quickly, pass the mugwort on, and wait for the fire to die.
